Y&R NZ’s Tom Paine announced as Chairman of Judges for The Skulls 2016

The PADC has announced this year’s Skulls will be judged in Auckland by three specialist juries of three people each, overseen by Y&R NZ CD Tom Paine of McWhopper fame.

PADC President Mark Braddock said after the success of taking the judging to Sydney last year, they had decided to take the awards judging off-shore for the first time in the Club’s history.

“There have been many discussions of the similarities and differences between the NZ and WA industries and we thought that it would be a great opportunity to reach out and share the work being produced here with some of the best of NZ’s creative talent.

“And we are ecstatic that Tom has agreed to Chair the awards after a massive year for him. The McWhopper work has not only been widely awarded, it has been broadly awarded, winning in advertising, design and digital categories. Tom is the kind of expansive thinker who perfectly exemplifies the aims to the Club.”

Further announcements will be made in coming weeks regarding the make up of the juries.
