Youngbloods party in Hawaiian style last Friday
Youngbloods partied hard last Friday night at their annual Summer Party, this time held at Ya Ya’s in Northtbridge.
It all started with JS playing some laid back 90s hip-hop while people enjoyed the bar tab and pizza. As the night started to warm up and the dance floor started to fill, Mo’Fly hit the decks and busted out some 90s classics. You might even say, everybody found out that ‘backstreet is back”.
Soon it was time to judge the best Hawaiian get-up. Lauren from JWT, Matt Thomson from UWA, Michelle from Gatecrasher, Jordan Lomax from Curtain and Emma from Gatecrasher, strutted their outfits down the catwalk to Right Said Fred’s I’m Too Sexy. But, there could only be one winner of the fifty-dollar bar card, and that was Emma Lambert. With the loudest crowd cheer she proved she was indeed too sexy for her (Hawaiian) shirt.
The night ended with Genga on the decks, the dance floor going off, a massive group photo, and some crazy dance moves thanks to Georgie Frampton. And as the famous Borat says “great success”. All in all, lots of industry connections, new friends, and memories were made.
Youngblood’s George Frampton said, “Big ups to Alice Chapman for taking all the photos on the night and Matso’s for the delectable booze. Plus, another big thank you to our other sponsors Pilpel Print, Southern Cross Austero, Matso’s Brewery and Ya-Ya’s.

I just wanted to sincerely thank all staff and patrons involved in the event for accommodating my needs by making all aspects of the event wheelchair friendly and inclusive. I really appreciate all your efforts – everybody had a great night and it was also excellent value for money I thought, which is rare in Perth, nowadays – well done and thanks again! 🙂
