West Coast Eagles turn to The White Room
The White Room has been appointed to partner the West Coast Eagles in the development of their brand for season 2012 and beyond. The pitch was a combination of brand direction along with creative recommendations for season 2012.
Jon Sharp, Managing Director, The White Room, said, “We are very excited to be appointed to work with such an iconic WA brand and the professional and passionate marketing team at the West Coast Eagles”.
Emma Mackie, Brand & Community Manager, said “We were really impressed with The White Room’s pitch. They understood the brand, what our challenges were, and the direction we need to take. We’re really looking forward to working with them on the 2012 campaign and beyond”
The account was previously with 303.

Watch out 303. They are after you guys. White is right at the moment. Muzz Buzz . Now Eagles. They are on fire.
Wow! The turning of the tide for 303. Must be on the slide to lose such a big account.
303 must be so glad to be rid of this one…it had become a charity case in the end!
That’s a big move. White hot. 303 not. Loved the Muzz Buzz work. Big rumour is Muzz Buzz Brazilian campaign will clean up at PADC. Well done.
Huge. Well done to all at The White Room. Who pitched?
Congrats boys! Great guys who deserve the success they achieve!
Good work lads, well deserved!
One of Perth’s biggest accounts and such a huge brand a CHARITY CASE?
WTF is that about?
Don’t know how 303 could have lost this. I thought the spots with the images of past and current players projected on the buildings was Perth’s best.
Well done to Jon and team.
It’s good to share the contra work around, especially iconic brands such as WCE.
Did 8 agencies pitch? If so. Who were they? Big win guys well done.
I’ve been holding my tongue on this issue for a while now, but I can’t take it anymore. I need to know – are those of you suggesting the Muzz Buzz work will ‘win metal’ being sarcastic?
Because if you’re not – and you are the creatives responsible – I think you’d better prepare yourselves for the reality that you will not, in a million years, ever be collecting anything for that work.
Sorry, but just because you get a few nice comments on the blog (which has had an unusually weird amount of positive comments lately!) it doesn’t mean you’ll do well. Some of us see no value in slamming other creatives’ work and say nothing if we can’t say something nice.

No, the comments re Muzz Buzz have not come from this agency.
We think they are a couple of cool little spots but we aren’t assuming they will collect ‘metal’.
Must agree with 8.38 – one hopes sarcasm is running riot in the comments here.
8.38.
Lot of positive comments. Look at those HBF spots. Similar story dude.
Don’t right off the buzz around the Muzz.
AFL account are no money spinners. They like to think of themselves as worthy of CSA’s!
The big story here is the WCE pitch not Muzz Buzz.
Muzz Buzz was well documented on previous threads.
Whether it wins ‘metal’ or not is up to the judges.
Back to this thread please.
This is a David v Goliath story and a good one.
A small agency conquering one of Australia’s biggest indies
to pick up one of Perth’s ‘must have’ accounts.
Stay on thread please.
Well done guys.

You must be a client. Nobody I know in the top five talks like that.
With you 12.15.
Don’t right off the buzz.
FYI 6.35 – ” the spots with the images of past and current players projected on the buildings” is an SGIO ad done by Whybin TBWA.
It’s not a WCE ad by 303, but I’m tipping the WCE are pretty happy with the result
Well done to all involved.
I am one of the most vitriolic long-term posters on here and I would like to confirm that yes, the positivity is sarcastic. Mostly everything is rubbish. It just gets boring saying so all the time.
My prediction will be that White Room will present a load of ideas that WCE have already seen from 303. Once the creative opportunity is lost, they will then produce a vignette ad, featuring lots of slow-motion on-field action and bold supers, set to a rocking track that talks about how the team – and by implication the fans – have to dig deep/be strong/work together. See if I’m not wrong.
Thank you for your honesty 5.39.
Does this mean you didn’t really support Linc’s time sheet innovative agency remuneration structure?
Woosha enters his fav subi cafe and orders a coffee. A girl hands him his latte. Then a football hits him in the head. He turns back to the counter to see Nic Nat pulling a funny face.
Metal.
Dont ‘right’ off the work????? Clearly no copy writers reading this blog!!
An innovative new business model that involves agency times sheets, you say 7.22am? From Linc, arguably Perth’s fifth largest advertising agency? Sounds intriguing…
12.58. You are so far off even knowing what is going on it isn’t funny. Find out who actually pitched. I think that will provide some insight. And BTW, the thread on Muzz Buzz is sarcasm. Good on White Room, it’s ‘OK’ work but read between the lines there champ.
6.16. Oooopps I am a writer.
