TCC_Blue_Text_to_Side.jpgReflecting the continuously changing face of the marketing communications sector, The Communications Council WA has recently been joined by four new members, including its first Public Relations agency.

Since consolidating its representation in Western Australia, the launch of services which extend beyond the normal advertising agency model, new projects such as the AdSchool Rejuvenation Program and the professional development workshops in Social Media Law and Remuneration Modelling, the Communications Council WA has seen a significant rise in membership.

Showing a 25% increase in membership over the last months, the latest members to join include digital agencies Longtail and Equilibrium, recently launched JWT Perth, and PR agency gtmedia.

Says Al Taylor, Western Australia committee chair: “Local agencies are seeing the benefits in corporate membership through the many local opportunities we are creating.”

“Given we now cater for the multi-disciplined agency, we are seeing an increasingly broader membership which ensures we not only better reflect the local creative communications industry, but can also speak with a stronger local voice on industry issues.”

Current WA council membership is made up of local agencies 303Lowe, 3Geeks, Adcorp, Block Branding, CampaignMakers, Gatecrasher, Initiative Media, Marketforce, Meerkats, OMD WA, Shedcsc, Stormbox, The Brand Agency, The White Room, Trilogy AM and Workhouse.

About the new members:

A full service digital agency, Longtail launched in 2007 as a 50/50 joint venture between Carlo Bertozzi and The Brand Agency, eschewing the old school digital model driven by technology and focusing instead on communications ideas and branding potential, enabled by the digital platform.

A full-service, integrated agency, equilibrium offers expertise in brand strategy, advertising, design, marketing solutions, media planning and digital development from websites to mobile apps.
