Vale Betty Willis: Creator of iconic Las Vegas sign

The New York Times has reported the passing of commercial artist, Betty Willis – designer of what is arguably the most famous sign in the world.
Installed in 1959, ‘Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas’ symbolised the over-the-top glitz of the city and quickly became a pop culture icon.
