Two Campaign Brief Awards already decided; Deadline for Supernova, Ad Person and Advertiser of the Year next Friday Feb 26
As the countdown begins towards the 2016 Oasis Ball on Friday, April 29, two Campaign Brief Awards have already been decided: Media Organisation of the Year and Media Agency of the Year – both of which are voted for by the industry.
Media Organisation of the Year has always been voted for by senior media agency people; this year we reciprocated by having the Media Agency award voted for by senior sales directors across major WA media.
In addition, the award has been re-named the Helen Filov Media Agency of the Year, in memory of one of Perth’s most beloved and admired figures who passed away suddenly in May last year.
Filov had a long and successful career on both sides of the media fence, so it seemed appropriate to name the award in her honour, a move unhesitatingly supported by the award’s sponsor Nine Entertainment Co., where Filov worked most recently.
Voting for both awards has concluded with some surprising results. That’s 2 down, 13 to go.
Nominations for Ad Person of the Year, Advertiser of the Year and Supernova of the Year close next Friday, February 26.
Entries for the Creative awards are due the following week, Thursday, March 3.
Submissions for Agency of the Year are due Thursday, March 10.
