Tourism WA launches new ‘1001 Extraordinary Experiences’ online campaign via Host Sydney
Host Sydney has launched ‘1001 Extraordinary Experiences’ for Tourism Western Australia. A campaign that showcases 1001 user generated experiences from around the state in an interactive film and website.
The promotion attracted almost 6,000 entries from WA fans and photography enthusiasts from all around the world, contributing their personal images of extraordinary experiences in WA to Tourism Western Australia’s Facebook page.
The top 1001 experiences and their corresponding images have been pieced together, much like a stop motion film. Users can view pause the film on any frame, and dive further into each image to learn about the experience and the story behind it.
The interactive film and website was launched by the Western Australian Tourism minister Dr Kim Hames on June 5, 2013.

Good to see a WA Tourism supporting local agencies.
@Dumb – It’s good to see a WA client doing something great
Tourism WA use Mitchell & Partners here in WA to plan and buy all their media, most of which is placed with local sales reps based here in WA. They also have a number of local designers and creative agencies for project work and regional tourism bodies. The brand activity is handled by Host – creative only.
