News Corp Australia has a unique role available in our Sales Support Department. It is a maternity leave position and if you enjoy the day to day management of sales systems, have an analytical mind, enjoy being the go-to person for all general trouble shooting then this could be the role for you.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, Sales, you will be responsible for ensuring that the sales systems are assisting the sales team to achieve their sales outcomes, you will analyse sales performance and recommend process improvement, assist with system and process adoption and generally underpin the sales team success.

We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a Sales Professional with the experience and drive to join our Perth Agency Sales team.

The primary focus of the Agency Sales Executive is to maximise agency revenue, increase share and become an integral team member assisting in achieving strategic goals and operational objectives. You will be responsible for generating new agency business within the market by developing and extending the relationships with current agency personnel and clients.

The successful candidate will need to meet the following criteria:

• At least one year experience as a sales professional.
• Experience in building strong relationships with a diverse customer base.
• Experience in prospecting, applying sales techniques, tailoring proposals and presenting.
• Proficiency in the ability to maintain and grow the yield in the market, and the status of the market/client share as well as ability to achieve revenue targets as set by the Company.
• A demonstrated genuine commitment to outstanding client service.
• Accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
• Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to operate in a team environment, contributing positively to the operations and working relationships.
• Ability to contribute ideas and demonstrate initiative and flexibility.
• Demonstrated positive work ethic and the ability and willingness to learn new systems.
• Demonstrated ability to take steps to solve a problem.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.
• Must hold unrestricted drivers licence and own suitable vehicle.
• Must hold the right to work in Australia.

There are opportunities for designers who are also savvy in Social Media Management (Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+), MailChimp, WordPress and HTML – plus programmers and developers in areas such as PHP/Joomla/Ruby on Rails. Some positions are part time (1-3 days a week) and others are full time permanent or freelance (both in-house and remote).
