ACCOUNTANT/BOOKKEEPER – WORKHOUSE
Our busy West Leederville advertising agency is looking for a full-time accountant or bookkeeper to fill a contract maternity leave position for a minimum of 12 months.
Reporting to the company Directors, you will be responsible for:
- Jobbag data processing of all invoices
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Bank reconciliations
- MYOB Payroll
- Superannuation and BAS payments
- Preparation of internal monthly reports and year-end reporting
- General day-to-day office tasks
To be successful in this role you need to possess:
- Demonstrated familiarity and experience with accounting software. Jobbag knowledge would be an advantage
- Demonstrated experience in financial and organisation administration, including creditors, debtors, payroll, bank reconciliations and end of month procedures
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft products & MYOB (Payroll only)
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of human resource issues such as salary packaging and superannuation
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
The successful candidate will ideally have bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably within the advertising industry. Salary will be dependant on qualifications and experience.
The position is due to start May 2014. At the end of the 12-month contract period an opportunity may exist to extend the contract.

Ideally with some experience in a related field, you’ll be a natural juggler who is as comfortable with last minute requests as ongoing & complex challenges, who looks and sounds the part in front of clients, and understands creative whilst never ignoring the bottom line. Oh, a keen eye for detail and good writing skills are prerequisites. But you know that.

We have a number of roles on offer from Digital Producer, Project Manager and Account Manager positions, through to front end and back end coding, web development and web design. There are opportunities for designers who are also savvy in Social Media Management (Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+), MailChimp, WordPress and HTML – plus programmers and developers in areas such as PHP/Joomla/Ruby on Rails. Some positions are part time (1-3 days a week) and others are full time permanent or freelance (both in-house and remote).
