About the Opportunity
Reporting to the state Sales Director, your role will be working with clients to meet and exceed your sales targets. You’re responsibilities will be across the following areas:
Sales
- Achieve sales targets across our product portfolio
- Create and maintain annual business plans, including growth targets, new business opportunities, retention and contingency plan
- Maintain active market presence and strong peer to peer client relationships
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships with key senior people in Advertising, Strategy and Media
- Support initiatives to grow revenue, and the implementation of tactical sales activities to achieve the plan objectives, within budget and to deadlines
- Prepare client proposals to negotiate business
Market share
- Support growth and maintenance of the brands format market positions
- Grow market share based on targets set yearly for your territory or State
Operations
- Participate in regular management meetings throughout the year
- Lead weekly sales progress meeting
- Provide sales and management standard and ad hoc reports
- Perform weekly actual revenue reporting and quarterly forecast revenue reporting
- Ensure strong integrity of data capture and reporting
- Contribute to the development and management of the strategic sales business plan and annual budget
- Contribute to market inventory management and site pricing (index and prop)
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of sales supporting materials
Leadership
- Manage and support the Account Managers & Co-ordinator to individually and collectively achieve their market/brand/channel specific sales targets
- Manage and develop an engaged sales team via coaching and mentoring, training, induction, motivation and performance counselling when required.
About You
You have plenty of enthusiasm and energy, the ability to learn and grow and the ambition to build a career in Outdoor media. You will need:
- An ability to develop and foster productive, long-term client relationships&nb
sp; - Excellent organisational skills, where one can handle multiple projects and deadlines at the same time
- Influencing and negotiation skills second to none
- A demonstrable history of territory management and sales growth

What will help you be successful?
- Preferred degree in business, media or other related fields
- At least 2 years previous experience in a similar role, including Media Sales, Outdoors Sales, Team Management & Media Agency Experience

The Marketing and Activation Unit sits within the Economic Development and Activation Directorate along with the Arts, Culture and Heritage; Economic Development and Business Support & Sponsorship business units.
The Marketing and Activation Unit is responsible for facilitating, presenting and promoting a wide range of activations and events that enliven our City and make it the greatest place to live, work and visit.
The functions of the Unit include activation marketing, events, civic events and graphic design. The Campaigns and Design Coordinator leads a team of six direct reports in the development and delivery of creative, design and media planning for the City of Perth.
Position Objectives
- Lead the Campaigns and Design team with a culture of teamwork, respect and collaboration.
- Deliver specialist marketing campaigns and design support to protect and enhance the City’s reputation and relationships with key stakeholders and the community.
- To develop, foster and maintain a high quality of customer service experience between the Campaigns and Design team and the rest of the organisation.
- Work in close partnership with other Coordinators across the Unit including colleagues in activation and events, digital strategy, sponsorship, business support, arts culture & heritage and economic development teams to deliver effective results and outcomes.
- Deliver measurable and effective campaigns and design outcomes to enhance the City’s brand, improve the vibrancy of the City and increase visitation.
