Purpose of the Role

The Group Strategy and Partnerships Manager sits within the Perth Sales team and is responsible for driving strategic solutions within the Sales proposition. You will take a leading role in market driving responses to strategic and creative briefs and helping brands best leverage the Nine Entertainment Company product portfolio to more effectively communicate and engage with their audiences.

This role reports into the Director of Sales, Perth with a dotted line to the National Director of Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

This role will sit alongside the Broadcast and Digital Group Business Managers (GBM) and be responsible for leading and implementing strategic cross channel solutions across our assets.

You will:

  • Take ownership of the whole brief response process from brief dissection, strategy, and ideation through to the solution on strategic or creative briefs with media agencies, leading the response from brief through to presentation.
  • Manage a Sales & Solutions Coordinator on a day to day basis.
  • Work with the Sales & Solutions Coordinator to implement the integrated ideas generated for clients.
  • Drive commercial benefit and premium revenue within the Perth sales team.
  • Find and develop the connecting story between brands and our major premium revenue driving properties (ie. The Voice).
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders including production, marketing and specialist teams to challenge the norm and stretch how we use our assets to deliver market leading solutions.
  • Work in conjunction with local Executive Producers on local TV programs from delivering partners and suppliers to implementing the client integration and post reporting the campaign for the various clients
  • Craft responses that clearly articulate a story or idea effectively.
  • Be a thought leader within the business, someone that is not only informed on trends across the global consumer and media landscapes but also takes inspiration for our approach to brief responses.
  • Integrate strategic expertise into the sales teams via the training and development of trading specialists within your group, enhancing their understanding of client objectives and advising on the strategy of their responses.
  • Collaborate and consult with strategy divisions and media agency planning teams at media agencies to understand their business needs and where best we can add value through creative solutions.
  • Develop key category and key client attack/defence plans alongside TV and Digital GBMs
  • Be a problem-solver who can act quickly and effectively. You’ll need to follow your instincts to anticipate and handle problems, and also to communicate them to clients.
  • Be responsible for all client communications, to effectively manage conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables.
  • Operate effectively in a solutions based culture and demonstrate proactivity and collaboration at all times.
  • Meet Nine’s company standards
  • Provide and support a safe workplace environment
  • Perform other duties as reasonably required

Position Requirements

Essential experience & skills include:

  • Being knowledgeable and passionate about the Australian and global media landscape and a thought leader on how this is evolving
  • Being a strong presenter, with storytelling skills and an ability to create and sell in an idea articulately.
  • Developing compelling presentations (PowerPoint  whizz)
  • You have an interesting mix of expertise in integrating brands into content, television, digital, social, licensing and/ or events.
  • You have a Background in media, strategy, branding or research is preferable
  • You are savvy about the influence of different touchpoints on consumers
  • Being able to multitask, deliver to deadline and demonstrate amazing attention to detail (and not be afraid to get your hands dirty)
  • Being excellent at collaborating with multiple stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally
  • Being a teacher and mentor who is
    able to upskill the sales team around them to structure brief responses and better understand agency and client objectives
  • Being commercially minded in ensuring we exceed the client’s key measures of success and invest their monies responsibly
  • You are driven by providing excellent customer service and be seen as best in competitive market by key agencies and clients.

About the role

The Public Relations Specialist develops, implements, and evaluates public relations communications strategies to support our brand, advocacy and marketing and communication objectives and the broader goals of Anglicare WA.

Duties & Responsibilities

Below is a brief outline of some of the duties and responsibilities of the role:

  • The role shapes and maintains positive public perception of Anglicare WA and increases awareness of its work and objectives
  • Set clear objectives for each Public Relations plan in line with the brand, organisational and program specific objectives
  • Ensure key messages and media materials are delivered in communications through all channels
  • Identify, develop and execute communications strategy for key media contacts
  • Write high quality media and communications collateral
  • Develop and manage crisis communication plans and work with senior leadership team to manage any potential reputational risks

Selection Criteria

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in public relations, journalism or a related discipline
  • Experience in media relations, preferably in the non-for-profit or government sector
  • Extensive and current media contact network
  • Demonstrated experience in writing and editing for internal and external audiences with ability to translate complex information for a wider audience
  • Excellent relationship management, stakeholder management, and influencing skills

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year.

Remuneration

 $69,671 + 9.5% superannuation. In addition to your remuneration, you will enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits.
