UK trade ad mag Campaign has released their top 10 Virals of the Year. Personally we’d have the Wassup Obama viral as number one but it certainly makes a great list. Campaign has also put out their top 10 Turkeys of the Year list and top of the list is that shocker of an ad for Gillette.
Next week Campaign Brief publishes our Best of the Year poll of creative directors but in the meantime has anyone any suggestions for what would make a Perth Turkeys of the Year list?

That Water Corp frog ad annoys the hell out of me every time I see it on TV.
And that SGIO ‘paint the Porsche’ is also right up there.

There’s too much crap to wade through in Perth advertising to choose favourites. 99% of all TV, press, outdoor and radio is utter, utter A-grade shit. Shouty, punny, obvious, price-driven clichéd shite.
The little nuggets of awardy stuff we like to pride ourselves on, is such a small part of the dumbed-down garbage we churn out daily for our local clients.
There is some great work, for sure, but the overwhelming majority is embarrassing.
I blame the suits.

Ok I agree that the majority of work coming out of this city is shit. But creatives and CDs are as much to blame as suits. Let’s face it, if you’re a half decent creative you wouldn’t work in Perth, or you’d be plotting your escape.
The latest Red Rooster chicken ad is a turkey! MOST mums don’t look like Katie Holmes.
