Tinning’s winning entry is titled ‘Green Unltd’ – a virtual company thatpeople can join and follow simple ideas that help reduce greenhouse emissions.

“Big problems can often be solved with seemingly small gestures,” saidScarpelli. “Because sometimes it just takes a simple step to galvanize peopleto really make a difference. I believe that is what Andrew Tinning’s idea,“Green Unltd.” has the power to do. The judges and I loved the simplicity andthe audacity of the idea. And we believe it is an idea that can make a world ofdifference. “Green Unltd.” can happen… if we want it to.”

Here’s the winning idea: In recent times there havebeen many wonderful campaigns and events that have highlighted the effects ofglobal warming. There have been those that have been a call to action to dosomething on one single day to help make a difference. The problem is muchbigger than that. To have any real long term effect, people need to beempowered to take action on a daily basis. Saving the planet is a tough job,but somebody has to do it. And that somebody can be everybody. The task canseem overwhelming but when put into the context of a daily routine it seems alot more accessible. Jobs and work is something that most people can relate to.This is true whether you are self employed, employed or unemployed a student ora stay at home Mum or Dad. The core thought behind this idea is to create aglobal company as opposed to just another worthy cause. It is one company withbillions of employees who all have the same important job to do. In today’sworld it is global companies that wield the power and the influence that isultimately shaping our planet and our future. This is an opportunity to takethem on at their own game and create a ripple effect that could potentially makethe ultimate difference.
