CB Awards: Media Agency of the Year award extended to include Small Agency of the Year
This year Campaign Brief has made a significant change to one of our important awards handed out at the Oasis Ball Campaign Brief Awards.
The Media Agency of the Year award now becomes the Media Agency/Small Agency of the Year award. This opens up this award to small agencies with less than 15 staff members.
The reason for the change is twofold.
Firstly, since introducing the Media Agency of the Year award two years ago we have only received 2 submissions each year from media agencies. Whilst the quality of every one of these submissions has been excellent we feel that this might not always be the case so by extending the scope of the award we are ensuring a worthy winner each year.
Secondly, There is a perception that there is too much of a hurdle for smaller agencies to win the Agency of the Year award – over the past 23 years only JDA and Vinten Browning has managed to beat either Marketforce, 303Lowe, The Brand Agency and Meerkats to the award. By adding a Small Agency of the year award it combats the perception that our existing awards favour Perth’s largest agencies.
The winner of this award will be judged on the business success of the company. It is open for entry to ALL of Perth’s Media Planning and Buying agencies AND also open to any kind of agency (ad agency, digital agency, design agency) in Perth with less than 15 staff.
