ACCOUNT COORDINATOR – MARKETFORCE

As part of our continued growth Marketforce, of one of Western Australia’s largest and most respected marketing communications companies, is seeking to appoint a talented Account Coordinator.

This is a diverse and challenging role with the Account Service department, and is responsible for day to day administration and liaison with a designated client base.

The role requires someone with a strong client focus and exceptional attention to detail as you will be solely responsible for meeting your clients’ day-to-day advertising requirements. In addition, there will be general administrative, financial and reception duties within the role.

This is an opportunity to broaden your knowledge of the advertising industry in a friendly, busy and fast paced environment.

The successful applicant will have:

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
• Good organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Team player with the ability to take direction from peers.
• Ability to learn and become proficient with various agency IT systems.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry related experience (preferred but not essential).
• Knowledge of the print media and production industry (preferred but not essential).

DEVELOPER/DESIGNER – THE WEST AUSTRALIAN

We are the leading news and information website in Western Australia, with a focus on first to market delivery, quality content and a user friendly interface. We are looking for a professional and career-minded person who shares this vision and is passionate about web/mobile development and design.

You will be part of a team of talented professionals, reporting directly to the GM of Digital and playing a key role in the development, design and maintenance of various websites.

The successful applicant should possess a degree in web based development and a graphic design related area and 2-3 years relative work experience. The ability to compose creative design concepts and demonstrate expertise with design applications is essential. The successful applicant must also have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong client services ethos. The ability to adhere to very tight deadlines and effectively prioritise time is also required.

To be successful in this role you must:

• Be proficient in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver or relevant text editor
• Be able to translate requirements into concepts and elegant user experience designs
• Be able to create interaction models, user task flows, screen designs, and UI details that promote ease of use and optimize the user experience
• Develop and maintain design wireframes, mock-ups and specifications including the ability and drive to take a project from concept and wireframes to visually-designed interfaces
• Have excellent HTML, XHTML, basic PHP, CSS, XML, MySQL, Action Script 2/3 programming skills including coding valid XHTML and CSS mark-up
• Have experience in building Joomla, WordPress and Drupal content management system driven sites
• Have a strong understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
• Have experience in mobile/responsive design techniques
• Be experienced in social marketing and integration through API’s
• Be able to develop cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions
• Have knowledge of working with JavaScript frameworks to create rich interactive content including strong working knowledge of JQuery
• Have a good understating of Web Accessibility
• Have experience working with version control systems such as TortoiseSVN
• Have experience in AJAX techniques
• Have a strong design background, including knowledge of page hierarchy, typography, colour theory and branding

An opportunity exists for an experienced Digital Account Manager to join our successful WA Sales Team working for Fairfax Media.

Fairfax Media Limited [ASX:FXJ] is a leading multi-platform media company in Australasia. The group comprises metropolitan, rural, regional and community mastheads and serves its audiences through high-quality, independent journalism and offers dynamic venues for commerce and information.

Working in the newly created Australian Publishing Media and based in Subiaco, the role reports to the State Manager, WA and is responsible for generating revenue across our multi platform digital products.

Australian Publishing Media (APM) consolidates business units formerly known as Metro Media, Financial Review Group, Fairfax Regional Media, Agricultural Media and FCN NSW. APM has four publishing units (News Media, Business Media, Life Media and Australian Community Media) responsible for content generation and product management for all wholly-owned digital and print mastheads in Australia, such as The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian Financial Review, The Canberra Times and The Land, among others.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated excellence in media sales together with a strategic sales approach and account management skills. The role will include initiating innovative ideas to increase digital sales within an existing client base as well as developing new business. Your ability to think laterally, operate independently and present creative solutions to clients will ensure your success.

You will be a self starter with online sales or advertising agency background. Committed to strengthening relationships and maximising sales, you will have superior verbal and written communication skills, exceptional time management and be dedicated to providing excellence in client service second to none. You must be a team player who will enjoy working in a small dedicated team of media professionals.
