SOCIAL MEDIA AND CONTENT MARKETER – MURDOCH UNIVERSITY
Fixed term position – 12 months

The Development and Communications Office at Murdoch University is seeking a digital marketer to join our award-winning team in the role of Social Media and Content Marketer. You will need to demonstrate proven success in building trust and managing relationships with users and/or customers, so the role would best suit an excellent communicator who understands user needs and expectations. You’ll have relevant qualifications and 3-5 years of content creation or community management experience.

In this position you will:

  • work closely with your marketing and digital media colleagues, as well as key stakeholders across the organisation, to facilitate the relationship and conversations between Murdoch University and our online audiences,
  • be responsible for the social media and content planning, communication, day-to-day management, response and reporting cycles; and,
  • create and deploy online editorial plans and content that connects strategic initiatives with audience needs.

The role

Training & development

User experience
Planning, performing, evaluating and documenting user experience activities including usability tests, prototypes, personas, interaction flows, storyboards and customer journeys.
Researching, developing, and communicating a long-term, innovative UX direction for the agency.

The must haves
Of course you’ll be fully across W3C and WCAG standards, use the Adobe CS suite at a professional level, have an advanced qualification in design or interactive design, be able to code HTML5, CSS3, Javascript and/or JQuery at a rapid rate, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
