PADC release Call for Entries for November 2nd award show and gets tough on scam

PADC_Entries.jpgThe PADC has released their Call for Entries to the 2012 awards.

This year judges will shortlist the work after viewing all the entries online. Once in Perth, the judges will then view and judge the shortlisted entries in their intended form before awarding gongs. This year Craig Davis, co-chairman and chief creative officer at Publicis Mojo, is Chairman of Judges and will attend the PADC Award night set for November 2nd, 2012.

Entry to the PADC Awards is exclusively via the PADC website.

Interestingly (considering Perth has by far the least scammiest industry in the Asia Pacific region) the PADC has added a One Show style “New Ruling on Scams” clause:

Credibility and honesty for this event is paramount and The PADC will govern this based on the Club’s constitution. All entries must be accompanied by a tear sheet and official media schedule. If a piece of work has NOT been commissioned by a client or is NOT part of a paid media schedule, intentionally sets out to mislead the judges and is entered purely for the purpose of winning an award, the PADC will act accordingly. This will entail the immediate withdrawal of all entries submitted by that company or individual, with NO REFUND. The individual or individuals will have their PADC membership revoked and they will be unable to enter the following year. Our focus is to make sure all group heads, CDs, MDs and CEOs take full responsibility when approving their award submissions”.
