The Marketing Room providing outsourced in-house Marketing Managers for SME clients

The Marketing Room has been founded by experienced marketer Tahnee Sharp to fill the gap in businesses that find employing a full-time Marketing Manager cost prohibitive.

The Marketing Room was created to provide SMEs with their own outsourced, in-house marketing manager. Working inside the business for 25 hours each month, the Marketing Manager will develop then manage their marketing plan each month.

“We identified a segment in the market in SMEs who understand the importance of a considered marketing plan to grow their business, however they either don’t require or can’t afford a full-time experienced marketing professional,” said Sharp. 

“We also identified an untapped talent pool amongst women who following a highly successful marketing career had decided to have kids but were now looking to re-enter the workforce, but not on a full-time basis.”

After launching in April this year, The Marketing Room already has six Marketing Mangers each working with between 2 and 4 clients.

“We’ve had an overwhelming response from businesses needing our service along with marketing professionals excited to join as a Marketing Manager.” 

Clients include the luxury automotive dealership Lexus of Perth to law firms, fashion, medical, health to manufacturing. Sharp said the key issue identified with all of their clients was the need for a marketing plan.  They’ve all spent money adhoc and not had a result. 

“Our Marketing Managers spend the time to understand their client’s business and objectives.  They then develop a strategic marketing plan aligned to these goals and make sure it is implemented each month.  It’s such a privilege to be trusted by our clients. And to see the work we are doing with them paying such huge dividends is very rewarding. We’ve also received a warm welcome from a number of ad agencies, as they can see the gap we can fill between them and their clients.”
