The Heart Foundation of Western Australia to make a healthy lifestyle decision this week
Up to six agencies are awaiting a decision this week on the Heart Foundation’s upcoming healthy lifestyle campaign to tackle obesity in Western Australia.
The focus of the campaign will be on nutrition and physical activity with latest figures suggesting that two thirds of Australia’s population are overweight. The campaign will help address the weight problems and obesity in WA, and aims to contribute to increasing the proportion of adults and children meeting the national guidelines for healthy eating, physical activity and healthy body weight.
The three year campaign carries an above-the-line budget of $1.4 million per year, with online and associated work subject to separate appointments. Thought to be pitching are Marketforce, The Brand Agency, 303, Meerkats, Gatecrasher and Sydney-based consultant Paul Fishlock (ex The Campaign Palace and BMF Sydney).
The Heart Foundation won the tender to handle the campaign and will be working working in collaboration with the Cancer Council of WA. Health campaign veterans Mike Daube and Terry Slavin are part of the panel coordinating the campaign. Interestingly, 303 appear to have a conflict with their ongoing work on the Red Rooster account.

Hey, I thought chickens were healthy?
Meerkats aren’t involved in this one CB
Although my wife looks like she’s put on a little.
Might have something to do with the Rooster she’s been seeing!
To all the other agencies in the pitch, stop holding your breath, the winning agency has been notified. Ye Ha!!!!
303’s job is to sell as many Red Rooster chickens as they can.
If they pick up this one their job is to stop them.
Well done Brand.
303’s Red Rooster account didn’t affect their ability to win the national obesity campaign work. So why would it stop them here? Sounds like a desperate rival agencies clutching at straws. Who could it be?
Today is Friday. Do we know where this business is going yet?
So Owe Nothing – what happened ? Clearly you misread the memo…..
