The ‘For Sale’ sign comes down at 6PR & 96FM

Fairfax Media Limited has ended the process of considering the sale of its metropolitan radio assets that include 6PR and 96FM in Perth.
The company announced in May 2011 that subject to achieving an acceptable price, it would consider divestment of its metropolitan and regional radio assets. This was in response to strong expressions of interest from prospective purchasers. Despite strong interest from multiple entities, no party in the process has ultimately been able to put forward a proposal that is acceptable to Fairfax Media.
