The entries are in for the 2011 PADC Awards – who will make them proud?

Entries for the 2011 PADC Awards closed last Friday. PADC President Andrew Tinning thanks the many people who helped get it to this stage.
The call for entry into this year’s Awards is done and dusted. The numbers are in and we have a healthy amount of entries so we’re looking forward to another great show.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who entered for your support and your patience with the new online entry system.
It was a big call for the team at Tune In Tokyo to take on the project and get it up and running in time. At the end of the day as with any new baby there were bound to be some teething problems. Thankfully they proved minor and any bugs we experienced will be well and truly ironed out over the next few weeks. Thanks in particular to Troy Ginbey for a huge effort.
I’d also like to thank Adstream and in particular Gabrielle Wallington for their generous support and help with setting up the TV component and the processing of the entries. Without the back up of the country’s no.1 dispatch and delivery system, our remote pre-judging round couldn’t have happened.
Thanks also must go to Julian Douglas-Smith at Soundbyte for pitching in and providing the sound design for this year’s viral campaign. He did a great job that added so much to the end product.
The ‘thankfest’ is not over yet!
Big ups to Bruce Flint and Caitlan O’Connor at Firstlight for their superb editing work on the virals and to Scott Wright and Lee Guy Wallis from Split Screen for their direction and production support.
To all of our wonderful sponsors who signed on for another year and those who have signed up for the first time, we are eternally grateful. Without your continued support there would be no club.
And last of all I’d like to thank my parents. Not sure if I’ll make you proud this year Mum, but I won’t forget your birthday like I did last year!
Plans for the Awards presentation on Friday, October 14 are well and truly underway. Please keep sending in your early pics and art works. Tickets will go on sale shortly so book your seat for the big night when they do, and in the meantimejoin us at the Festival of Ideas, September 11 & 12.
Andrew Tinning,
PADC President.

Thanks Toot aka Andrew, for the massive plug. However I’m sure I speak on all behalf of everybody you mentioned, it is an absolute pleasure supporting the PADC’s.
Look forward to seeing the fruits of our labour on the night and buying everyone a drink at the afterparty.

Awesome job by everyone.
Bring on the night.
I would like to say anonymously that Andrew Tinning is without doubt the best president the PADC has ever had.
