The Brand Agency’s Craig Buchanan to lead AWARD School Perth’s 2015 program
Craig Buchanan, Creative Director at The Brand Agency is to head up AWARD School’s 2015 program. AWARD School is the training program for aspiring creatives, copywriters and art directors
Buchanan commenced his career a Graphic Design at FCB Shorter in the mid 80’s, after winning AWARD School in 1988 Buchanan was promoted to Art Director working with Matt Eastwood. He has won the West Fellowship twice and numerous local, national and international awards including Best of Show at 2014 PADC Skulls, Silver at 2014 London International Awards and Adstars, Bronze at Clio and Spikes for the much acclaimed St John Ambulance ‘Barrier’ TVC.
Running for more than 30 years, AWARD School has seen an impressive list of industry heavyweights teach and learn from its courses. Past graduates include creative leaders such as Gruen Panellist Chief Creative Officer of DDB New York, Matt Eastwood, David Droga, Founder of Droga5, and Creative Director Clemenger BBDO Sydney, and former AWARD School head, Rebecca Carrasco.
“AWARD School is an intense 10 briefs across 10 weeks experience, it’s both exciting and challenging for budding creatives”, Buchanan said, “This program is about preparing the next generation of Creatives for the industry – if you’re interested in ‘ideas’ then AWARD School could be for you.” AWARD School Perth will host an information night on February 12, informing prospective students on course content, entry requirements and tips from those who have recently been through the program and now working in the industry. Every year, AWARD School accepts up to 200 students from around 800 applications across Australia and New Zealand. The applications for all Australian states can be downloaded from the AWARD website from February 13, 2015, and can be submitted up until February 27, 2015
