THE ANSWER AGENCY SHOWS THEIR NUTS
Loconut.com.au, WA’s first and only online community has tripled in members just over one year after it was officially launched. The latest campaign ‘Show us your nuts’ launched in May, and has drawn even more interest from the public to the website, which currently boasts 14,000 members.
An interactive campaign conceived by The Answer Agency allowed the WA public to display their most outrageous, weird and funny videos online with the ultimate goal of winning a prize at the end of the campaign.
The campaign began with a heavy burst of cinema advertising – one ad showed a young girl picking her nose and the other showed a live feel reaction to a particularly obnoxious fart. In tandem with this a series of radio ads were run on 92.9 together with live reads. More recently a bus campaign has been running in the city centre.
The Answer Agency’s Deena Syed said there has been great interest in both contributions of videos being uploaded onto the site and votes taking place on a continual basis for the winner. He or she will be announced later on this month and the successful amateur film-maker will win a cash prize of $10,000. So far 200 video submissions have attracted 2000 votes. The site also achieved over 300,000 video views from 100,000 visitors. The average time spent watching the video was 4 minutes.
“The overwhelming response of the campaign shows once again how an idea driven campaign based on mystery and controversy, engages the audience and involves them in the growth of a brand,” said Syed.

Hmm – 14,000 members…
It’s funny how there only seems to be about 10 active on the site.
I tried to use it instead of facebook but it’s like a graveyard.
Ads are funny though, I’ll give ’em that.
quite funny some of this and a lot of thinking going on too. these guys are into some interesting stuff and answer website is worth checking out – sure have some opinions but lots make sense. did not think too much about them when they started but be interesting to see where they will go in next few years.
