TAXI FILM PRODUCTIONS TEAMS UP WITH OPEN SPACES PRODUCTIONS TO PRODUCE BANK OF QUEENSLAND TVC FOR WESTERN AUSTRALIA

TAXI Film Productions used local outfit Open Spaces to produce a Bank of Queensland TVC for Western Australia. BOQ took over Home Building Society at the end of last year and is launching its brand locally. The commercials was filmed on Rokeby Road in front of Subiaco Council Chambers, requiring a traffic diversion for an entire week day, and involved over 40 talent and extras with protest placards storming down the street.

Open Spaces Productions’ Beatrice Masia said: “We worked seamlessly with the Subiaco City Council to put together traffic management plan. The Subiaco City Council were very helpful and accommodating considering the quick turnaround we had to organise it all.”

OSP has also recently signed an agreement with top eastern states production company Flying Fish to represent it locally.

“Open Spaces spent many weeks reviewing reels and started preliminary talks with several production companies,” said Masia. “Flying Fish was by far the most interesting because they had the right cast of directors, each with very different styles and unique approach to storytelling. Also Flying Fish is part of an international network of production companies, which gives Perth creatives further access to some of New Zealand and Europe’s best Directors such as Joe Leonie & Wade Shotter who each won a Gold Lion at Cannes this year. Finally being part of a global network gives Open Spaces the opportunity to put Perth and Western Australia on the international map as a shooting destination.”
