Strong turnout for Fresh Collective: CIT graphic design students final folio exhibition
Fresh Collective’s final folio exhibition opened on Wednesday night drew a bumper crowd after two hours of solid judging by some of Perth’s finest professional creatives.
The exhibition showcased a rich harvest of over 50 graduates and featured synthetic grass floor, 120 metres of bunting and recycled timber palettes to display folio work. Fresh fruit and veggies completed the theme and an additional display of International Society of Typographic Design student assessments filled the space at Gallery Central.
Folios were filled with engaging responses to a range of live briefs from local organisations and crammed full of raw creativity from Perth’s youngest graphic communication talent.
The night’s award winners were:
- Beaumont Award (Judged by Aimee Johns, The Butcher Shop) : Bruno Booth
- Typographic Excellence award (Judged by Becky Chilcott and Euan Black, CHIL3 & HARTBLACK, representing ISTD) : Chloe Bawden
- Branding Excellence award (Judged by Mick Barlow Stringer & Joel Pember & Vaughn, Juicebox Creative) : Aaron Johnston
- Digital Design Excellence award (Judged by Joel Pember, Juicebox Creative) : Aaron Johnston
- Advertising Excellence award (Judged by Janice Law, The Brand Agency) : Christina Mash
- Illustration Excellence award (Judged by street artist Kombi) : Rebecca Sarti
- Rusty Award (Judged by Rusty Surf and Street creative team): Chloe Bawden
- AGDA Student Best of Show (Judged by Juliette Dujardin , AGDA WA Council) : Yusuke Fujii

Plenty of talent coming out of Northbridge and its not just from Xotica and Voodoo Lounge.
Well done to all of the Students, you all worked very hard to get to where you are today :- )
