The rising Australian dollar has sent the Australian screen sector into a tailspin, reports Michael Bodey in today’s Australian: This, as margins continue to contract, new business dries up and the threat of deep job rentrenchment across the sector looms large.
“It’s killing us all,” Rising Sun Pictures co-founder Tony Clark said.
The digital-effects house is working on the Harry Potter and Green Lantern films.

Oh no! The big agencies are going to start going OS. Perth directors can’t win.
…but on a positive note for skinflint agency directors and boards, you can impress your expats by showing them this year’s non-payrise in their own currency.
and a certain local agency is killing the local production scene. cant say who, that would be letting the kat out of the bag
