SCA_ListenUp_BLOG.jpgMeth, Speed, Ice, Crystal, Shards, Gear – whatever street name you call it, Methamphetamine is a toxic, destructive drug that has devastating consequences for users and their loved-ones alike.

The breadth of the Southern Cross Austereo Network in W.A. will come together as one this Thursday, February 4, to deliver a one hour, commercial free, statewide simulcast called ‘Listen Up’ to discuss the problem.

Listen Up will go live at 6pm on hit92.9, mix94.5, Hot FM WA and Radio West, delivering coverage across the majority of the state.

Hosted by Pete Curulli from mix94.5’s drive show Lisa and Pete, and Tash Povey, Breakfast newsreader on hit92.9, the show will cover what’s being done to help fight meth use, how it’s affecting communities and emergency services plus the right steps to help people dependent on meth in our state.

This unique concept has been developed by Southern Cross Austereo in collaboration with The Brand Agency for the Western Australian Mental Health Commission. Pre-promotion for this week’s broadcast has already generated telephone and social media enquiries to each of the respective stations.

If you’re unable to listen to the broadcast, the podcast will be available on each station’s websites after the show has gone to air.
