SHED creates new campaign to promote Surfing WA’s ‘No Txt No Wrecks’ road safety initiative
SHED has worked with the team at Surfing WA to create a new campaign for their No Txt, No Wrecks initiative supported by the RAC and the Road Safety Commission.
In 2015 Surfing WA – the peak body for surfing in the state – noticed a concerning trend within the community of driver inattention, with a marked increase of people texting while driving.
Wanting to encourage behavioural change in drivers who travel thousands of kilometres each year in search of waves, Surfing WA created the No Txt No Wrecks message with the aim to educate drivers on the dangers of inattention.
“The safety of our friends, members and the wider community is so important, whether it’s in the surf or on the roads and we thank all partners involved in helping to spread this message”, said CEO Mark Lane.
SHED Creative Director Andrew Tinning said: “Working with Surfing WA and the RAC to deliver this important message has been a great way to finish the year, particularly as we head into what promises to be yet another busy holiday period on our roads and the beaches they lead to.”
The campaign includes TVC, print and social media executions that launched this week, with all video content being produced in-house.
You can help spread the No Txt No Wrecks message by using #NoTxtNoWrecks and connecting on social media.
