Seven’s Furzer the toughest media person in WA?

You think media negotiations are tough? Try dealing with Veronique Furzer – ‘The Furzinator’ – Senior Sales Exec at Channel 7. On Friday night in one of Perth’s top ten A list events Vee (float like a butterfly sting like a Vee) showed that age is no barrier and fought in Troy Barbagallo’s Royal Queensberry Corporate Boxing Challenge event. After an intensive 10 week training period she stood up in front  of over 1200 of Perth’s glitterati, stood toe-to-toe with her combatant (half her age)  and traded punches in an intense duel which the crowd loved.

The judges final vote was not in her favour (boo), but it was a marginal decision. Furzer was ecstatic: “This is the most amazing experience of my life. The 5am training sessions, 6 days a week and the huge crowd and excitement was intense. I’m sore, have a black eye but feel fantastic. If you want to do a deal on rates, I’ll fight you for it!”
