Seven West Media (SWM) has launched the ‘We’re For You’ campaign in Western Australia working in collaboration with News Corp Australia.

Following the success of the News Corp initiative earlier this year in other states, SWM recognised the common values between businesses and the need to display newspapers’ guarantee to readers.

Aligned with The West Australian and The Sunday Times, the campaign embodies the way news media connects with readers, built on the messaging ‘We’re for the things that matter to our readers and their communities.’

Brett McCarthy, Editor of The West Australian said, “The West Australian is all about driving the daily news agenda with a Western Australian lens.

“Our readers trust us to provide honest, quality content. The ‘We’re For You’ campaign solidifies our commitment to WA.”

Michael Beach, Editor of The Sunday Times said, “The Sunday Times launched its first We’re For campaign five years ago to reinforce the paper’s strong affinity with Perth and WA. It is exciting to see this campaign being embraced with new energy across Seven West Media WA.

“Importantly, it puts our readers right at the heart of everything we do.”

The campaign launched on Saturday 5th May in The Weekend West and on Sunday 6th May in The Sunday Times, each featuring a double-page spread containing each editor’s statement of commitment to their readers.

Seven West Media WA Chief Marketing Officer, Kate McMahon said the campaign marks a significant investment into Seven West Media’s brands.

“It’s been a powerful exercise to delve into what our brands stand for in WA,” McMahon said.

“It’s fitting to use the power of our own assets to commence the campaign, including a print and digital footprint that reaches over 2 million Australians every month. The press and digital launch will be followed by a significant television schedule, on Perth’s leading television network, Seven Perth, as well as radio, outdoor, and social media.”
