RETRENCHMENTS CONTINUE AS 303 CUTS SIX
The industry has been dealt another blow with 303 retrenching six full-time staff last Friday. The retrenchments were made from the agency’s design, production and admin departments. In addition, a part-time accounts person and the agency’s AFA trainee were also let go. The agency has taken some hits recently, losing HBF to Meerkats at the end of the year and IKEA moving to Marketforce from next month. The cutback in Government advertising has also been felt by several agencies, with campaigns for major advertisers like the Office of Road Safety being put on hold. 303 handles the ORS’s ‘Speed’ campaign.

thats sad
Ouch for 303!
Still don’t understand Marketforce losing so many when they are winning accounts?
Michelle from the front desk @ 303 is looking for a job…!!
marketforce have only really cut people from the recruitment and retail side of the business, the main agency is in surprisingly good shape by all accounts
Campaign Brief, what’s with the delay in news? 303 started retrenching months ago. Funny how they’ve lost business and only one Account Manager has been let go…
Hrmmm…
5.06.
Why would they be losing people from their retail section if they just picked up IKEA?
Michelle from 303 will be fine..she has big things in front of her!
and quoted in B&T this week is Alan Taylor saying they were going to send 5 people to Cannes this year.

Perhaps there was some dead-weight in other departments to lose.
