Reigning champions to lead off 2010 Bullshit Battle of the Ad Bands on Friday night

Reigning Bullshit Battle of the Ad Bands champs, Gatecrasher’s  AC/GC will kick off this year’s competition at the Irish Club on Friday night.

With seven bands in the contest this year, a highly sophisticated, technologically advanced draw for the order of performance was conducted at Campaign Brief today by Battle organiser Ross ‘The Boss’ Tinney and CB’s Martin Trevaskis.

The order is:

1. AC/GC – Gatecasher

2. Naughty Hawke – Brainestorm

3. Menage a trois oh trois – 303

4. Meertwats  – Meerkats

5. Rich Black and the 5 Mils Bleed – Marketforce

6. Cooch – Cooch (went all-out coming up with their name)

7. Two Songs Max – The Brand Agency

After the first round of performances, the top 2 as scored by the judges – ‘Wild Thing’ Wayne Vinten, John ‘Jumpin Jack’ Ilian and Tim ‘Count’ Count – will return to the stage and face-off in a one song each, winner takes all final.

Crowd reaction is part of the judging criteria, so come along and exercise your lungs for your faves.

The 2010 Bullshit Battle of the Ad Bands is on this Friday, August 20 from 6.30pm at the Irish Club, Townsend Road, Subiaco.

Tickets $10 at the door.
