Randstad Awards recognise top employer brands
Alcoa has been voted Western Australia’s most attractive employer at this year’s Randstad Awards, announced by the recruitment and HR specialist this morning in front of leading public and private sector organisations. Alcoa narrowly beat BHP Billiton and broadcaster ABC for top spot in WA.
The keynote speech at the presentation was given by social commentator, branding consultant and panellist on ABC’s Gruen Planet, Dan Gregory. Gregory used entertaining and insightful examples from his experience to show how brands can cut through the clutter and engage prospective employees.
Todd Allen (pictured), Randstad’s WA Director of Operations, said to appeal to and retain the right talent, every organisation needs to consider what makes their business and their industry unique and attractive.
“Ultimately, a happy employee who has flexibility at work, with a good work-life balance and an enjoyable job, surrounded by great people in a pleasant working environment will be more engaged, more loyal and importantly, more productive. So when looking to hire new people for your business, it’s critical that what’s being offered in the job advertisement and interview phase, perfectly matches what they experience when they accept the job.”
