Portfolio Night in Perth also open to Account Management, Planning, Media, and Digital talent
Unlike many other cities across the world, The One Club Portfolio Night in Perth is not just for creative people.
The event is the perfect opportunity for prospective talent in any discipline to pitch their story to senior recruiters from account management, media, strategic planning, digital and production.
As well as Perth’s top creative and design directors, Portfolio Night has also drawn senior staff from all agencies across these skill areas. The mostsenior people across the whole Perth industry will be there, in a first-ever opportunity to reach every major player in one night.
The event is being brought to Perth by PADC, supported by event partner Edith Cowan University. It will be held on Wednesday 23 May at the ECU Mount Lawley campus.
Tickets are only US$25 and are now available via the Portfolio Night Web site.
Industry figure Paul Yole, who helped bring the event to Perth said, “Anyone who has ever considered advertising as a career, whatever their skill area, should be at this event. You won’t get a better opportunity to find a job. And if you haven’t considered advertising before, you should go anyway to find out what you’re missing.”
Unlike creative people, who need to bring along their portfolio, non-creatives simply need to come along with any examples of their work that show why they should be given a job.

My apologies for using the term ‘non-creatives’. We’re all creative!
So is this kind of like Speed Dating for people who want to be in the industry? A bit like Jump Start?
And will those without Portfolios (aspiring suits and strategists) just bring CVs?
Dear Confused – People interested in positions outside of creative or design should bring along any examples if their work that they can talk about. The difference to Jump Start is that this is broader and more immediate, and does not have the attached course. I hope that helps but please feel free to follow up with any more questions. Paul
