ADMA_Logo_BLOG.jpgThe Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA) is taking its privacy workshops series back on the road in late October to ensure businesses will be ready for the new privacy laws coming in March 2014.

ADMA CEO Jodie Sangster, Regulatory Affairs Director Daad Soufi and lawyers from the Holding Redlich law firm will take marketers and business owners through a checklist of the areas businesses need to review to be ready to comply with The Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012 (Privacy Amendment Act).

Places are still available for the Perth workshop, Thursday 24th October, 5.30pm – 7.00pm (light refreshments provided) at the Duxton Hotel, 1 St Georges Terrace, Perth.

The briefings include:

•    a  review of the changes coming under the Privacy Act

•    practical guidelines in each of the areas businesses need to review in order to be ready

•    a ‘getting ready’ checklist for your organisation

•    the opportunity to ask questions relating to your organisation.

The focus will be on:

•    data collection processes

•    data usage for marketing and prospecting purposes

•    data management

•    data sharing and storage procedures.

“The last series focused on the changes to the Privacy Act, outlining potential implications for business,” said Sangster. “This session aims to provide a practical viewpoint focused on reviews and recommendations for adjusting the processes and procedures you will need to make in your organisation. With fines of up to $1.7million, you can’t afford to get it wrong.”

The workshops are free for ADMA members and cost $299 for non-members. Register here.
