Perth Radio Survey 8/2013 released

Survey_8:13_1_BLOG.jpgResults from Nielsen Metro Radio Survey 8/2013 – the last one for the year – have been released this morning.

Mix 94.5 has finished on a high staying #1 P10+ on 14.1% share, with Nova 93.7 #2 on 12.3% and 96fm #3 on 10.5%. These stations maintain the same positions from Survey 7.

Nova got a healthy bounce of +3.3% in 25-39s to be the top station in that key demo on 22.0%.

Mix 94.5 stayed #1 in its primary demo 40-54s on 20.5%, and is also #1 in 55-64 on 17.4%

In the battle of Breakfast, Mix 94.5’s new team of Clairsy, Shane & Kymba have made a good start maintaining the station’s #1 commercial Breakfast position on 13.7%, ahead of Nova on 12.0% but ABC 720’s Eoin Cameron was again #1 overall on 15.2%.

Survey_8:13_2_BLOG.jpgEoin Cameron’s Breakfast on ABC720 recorded the highest Average Audience for any single session with 55,000, while Mix 94.5 and Nova’s Breakfasts were neck-and-neck for the highest Survey_8:13_3_BLOG.jpgCumulative Audience – Mix 94.5 on 291,000 and Nova on 290,000.

This is the last survey to be conducted by Nielsen. From 2014 radio audience surveys will be conducted by GfK, with the forst survey results to be released on Tuesday, March 11.
