Perth Radio Survey 7 results released
Mix 94.5 has once again topped the ratings in the latest GfK Metro Radio Survey and has a comfortable lead in P10+.
Mix 94.5 recorded a rise of 0.9% to a 15.2% share P10+. It’s result was helped by rises across all demographics except P65+. After a slight fall in Survey 6 it moved back into the 20s in its core P40-54 demo with a 1.5% rise to 20.4%.
Nova 93.7 is #2 P10+ on 11.9%, down a minimal 0.2% from Survey #6. Its biggest gain was in P10-17 where it has a massive 35.9% share. Nova was also the #1 commercial station for P25-39 on 19.5%, up 0.4% from Survey #6.
hit92.9 delivered a strange result. It’s the #3 commercial station P10+ on 9.7% – a fall of 1.3% from S6. It was up 6.0% to 25.9 in P10-17, but down 6.6% to 21.9% in P18-24. It also fell marginally in P25-39, down the smallest 0.1% to 15.8%.
The under-40 market is a battle of these two, with Nova leading the way.
It was another disappointing survey for 96fm. It also fell in P10-17 (-3.6% to 6.3%), P25-39 (-1.5% to 9.0%), P40-54 (-4.5% to 12.2%) and P55-64 (-0.6 to 7.2%). Its rises came in P18-24 (+3.1% to 9.2%) and P65+ (+0.5% to 1.5%).
6PR was still the #1 commercial station for P65+, despite recording a fall of -4.2% to 18.5% in that demo.Nova’s Nathan, Nat & Shaun were #1 in Breakfast, recording a 0.5% rise to 14.0% to edge a full 1.0% ahead of Mix 94.5’s Clairsy and Kymba on 13.0%.
In the battle of the Drive shows, Nova 93.7’s networked Kate Tim & Marty led the way on 15.4% (-0.9), just ahead of Mix 94.5’s local Lisa & Pete on 15.0% (+0.4%). After a solid start in S6, Hamish & Andy’s networked Drive show on hit92.9 dropped 1.8% to 13.6%.
Nova once again recorded the largest Cumulative Audience of 511,000 P10+, while Mix 94.5 also again recorded the largest Average Audience – 57,000 for its Morning session.
