Perth Radio Survey 6 results released: Nova 93.7 equal #1 for the first time

GfK‘s Metro Radio Survey 6/2014 has been released today.

Mix 94.5 retains top spot overall but is joined for the first time by Nova 93.7. Both stations recorded 13.7% share P10+. They have a comfortable lead over 96FM on 10.7%. ABC720 is the only other station to record double-digit share in P10+ with 10.1%.

It’s the third time Nova managing director Gary Roberts has taken a Perth radio station to #1, having done it previously with 96fm and Mix 94.5.

Nova 93.7’s Nathan, Shaun & Nat also recorded the highest commercial Breakfast share on 13.9% but were just pipped for the overall #1 spot by ABC720’s Eoin Cameron on 14.0%.

Nova’s cause was helped by strong shares in its target Under 40s demographics, being #1 in P10-17 on 33.3%, #2 in P18-24 on 26.3% (behind non-commercial JJJ on 29.3%), and #1 in P25-39 on 21.0%.

Mix 94.5 is still comfortably #1 in its heartland P40-54 demo on 20.1%, and is also the  #1 commercial station in P55-64 on 15.6%, ahead of 6IX on 13.1%.

6PR is clearly the #1 commercial station in P65+ on 23.0%.
