Survey2-13.jpgResults from the Nielsen Metro Radio Survey 2/2013 were released this morning and it shows some topsy-turvy movements from Survey 1.

Despite dropping 0.5%, Mix 94.5 is comfortably in the lead P10+ on 13.8% followed Nova 93.7 on 11.9% and 96fm on 11.4%. Mix also dominates its core 40-54 demo with a 20.9% share, well ahead of Fairfax stations 6PR on 12.9% and 96fm on 12.6%.

Nova 93.7 had an excellent result in 25-39s, jumping +3.3 from S1/2013 to 20.0% this survey to be the #1 commercial station in that demo.

Mix 94.5’s SCA sister station 92.9 took a bit of a hit overall, down -1.1 to 9.7% P10+, a result which was no doubt affected by a big drop in 10-17s, down -7.8 from 36.3% in S1/2013 to 28.5% this survey. The station also dropped -4.4 to 12.5% in 25-39s.

96fm also had a rough time, -4.8% to 13.4% in 18-24s and -3.9 to12.6% in 40-54s.

It was an encouraging survey for Capital Radio’s 6iX, which recorded increases in all demos and all sessions – the only station to do so.

Mix 94.5’s The Bunch was the #1 Breakfast session on 13.2% while Nova’s Nathan, Nat & Shaun held steady at 12.4%.
