Perth Festival offers new digital content experience with new #perthfest iPhone app

PerthFestivalApp.jpgPerth International Arts Festival patrons can look forward to a richer digital experience with the new #perthfest iPhone app created by The Brand Agency.  Festival-goers can use it to not only unlock exclusive videos but also book tickets for the artists, performances and movies they want to see.

“While our brochures and website have always reflected the world class quality of our artists as communication tools, this year with the help of The Brand Agency, we have given Festival patrons an additional way to access rich content to assist in their event planning by integrating the two,” said Perth International Arts Festival Marketing Director, Brad Martin.

“This app quite literally brings our brochure to life by allowing patrons to unlock exclusive content on their iPhone. We have a big Festival, with loads of access points, including theatre, circus, dance, contemporary and classical music, visual arts, film and literary events, so additional content that can help guide patrons through their ideal Festival experience is incredibly valuable. You simply download the #perthfest app, open up the Festival Plus section, look for the scan icons in our brochure and watch the 60 hidden videos, come to life.”

“But even if you don’t have a brochure on hand, the app features all the additional content available on our website so securing tickets or finding essential event detail is just a couple of taps away.”

The #perthfest app uses image recognition technology to identify scannable pages in the brochure and then show the hidden videos.

To download the free app, go to the App Store and search for #perthfest.
