Perth agencies preview Nine’s 2019 line-up

Some Perth agencies and media were given a sneak peek at Wednesday night’s launch ahead of the Nine Upfront showcase in Perth on November 22.
West Australian actress Melissa George made an appearance on the blue carpet alongside the cast of the new series Bad Mothers, which also stars fellow West Australian actress Mandy McElhinney. Bad Mothers, follows five very modern women juggling the big issues of love, family, careers, infidelity and murder.
Hayley McElhinney is another West Australian who viewers will be watching next year, in the fourth season of Doctor Doctor, starring Rodger Corser.
A highlight of the event was the surprise announcement that SeaChange is returning, with two legends of Australian television, Sigrid Thornton and John Howard, reprising their roles as Laura Gibson and Bob Jelly in the beloved drama series.
The smash hit Australian Ninja Warrior will also be returning with a supersized new course at its new home in Melbourne. In 2019, the competitor who goes the furthest and fastest will be declared the winner of Australian Ninja Warrior and win $100,000. If anyone can climb the as-yet invincible Mount Midoriyama, the prizemoney jackpots to $300,000 – and the conqueror will be officially crowned Australia’s first Ninja Warrior.
Jimmy Barnes entertained guests alongside his son and Today Show Extra host David Campbell with a selection of Cold Chisel classics at the cocktail party that followed the presentation.
