Paul Bowen returns as WIN WA General Manager as network readies for move to TEN affiliation

Television industry veteran Paul Bowen has commenced in the the role of General Manager – WIN Western Australia. Bowen is very well known in the industry, with extensive experience as Sales Director and General Manager for both WIN W.A. and Channel Nine Perth over a 30-year career in television.

All WIN WA staff will now have a locally-based General Manager to lead the business and build upon the current structure and revenue streams.

Bowen will report to Chief Revenue Officer Rod Jerman for all Sales detail and WIN CEO, and to CEO Andrew Lancaster for broader Business Management issues. Perth Sales Manager, Rob Korda and Bunbury Manager, Boyd Parker will now report directly to Bowen.

“I am excited to have an executive of Paul’s experience return to our Network,” said Jerman.

Bowen’s appointment comes as the network prepares for the upcoming change of affiliation to Network Ten from July 1.

WIN’s long-standing affiliation with the Nine Network has been the subject of fractious negotiations for several months, culminating in Nine signing a new affiliation agreement with Southern Cross Austereo for regional television. That in turn prompted WIN to enter into a five-year deal with TEN.
