Painted Dog Research wins national award
Painted Dog Research account director Huw Hepworth won the prestigious George Camakaris Best Paper Award at the Australian Marketing and Social Research Society’s National Conference, held in Sydney recently.
Hepworth was recognised with the George Camakaris Best Paper Award for his submission titled ‘Darwin’s feelings: A framework of evolution and emotion’. His paper and presentation focused on the growing awareness of how emotion influences the brain and consumer behaviour, with a focus on its role in marketing.
“Establishing an emotional connection through marketing is an area thatattracts a lot of discussion and attention, but it is really somethingthat we are only just starting to understand the ‘what’ and ‘why’ of,”said Hepworth. “Winning an award such as this indicates that there is alot of interest in this kind of investigation and all of us at PaintedDog look forward to further developing our knowledge and experience inthis area.”
The three Principals of Painted Dog Research, Justin Scerri, Claudia Amonini and Chris Batini were delighted with the outcome.
“We are extremely proud of Huw’s achievement and for a new company towin such an award with our first paper at a national conference isextremely encouraging”.
