PADC Skulls 2023 to be judged in New York

The 2023 Perth Advertising and Design Club (PADC) is taking this year’s judging to New York, with a talented selection of judges adjudicating on all entries.

The panels include judges from the worlds of creativity, design, production, strategy and digital crafts. The Skulls unique format also includes The Diamond Skulls awards, which takes a folio of work from individuals across all disciplines of Creative, Digital, Production, Design, Client Service Person of the Year and Production Person of the Year.

“For the first time, and to better reflect the ever-expanding commercial creativity industries that the PADC supports and awards through their membership, we’ve opened up our traditional Chair of Skulls role to include three different people – Sarah Barclay (Marketing & Communications), Nick Ace (Brand & Design) and Rafael Rizuto (Creativity & Craft),” said Josh Edge, President of PADC. “This gives us the ability to have some really in-depth conversations/arguments about the best ways to award the best work that WA has to offer. It also stops one person from ultimately having a single point of view on the entire years’ judging results.”

The Marketing & Communications panel includes Samira Ansari, Michael Raso, Piper Hickman, Francesca Bonomi and Lea Ladera. The Brand & Design panel includes Aaron Padin, Deva Pardue, Graham Clifford, Hernan Ibanez and Nicole Kupferman, while the Creativity & Craft panels features the likes of Matt Eastwood, Andre Bittar, Daniela Michelon, Mateus De Paula Santos and Menno Kluin.

“This is arguably one of the most diverse and talented judging panels for any regional awards show, anywhere in the world,” said Tia Brazier, General Manager of PADC. “We’re so excited to get stuck in over in New York, and bring WA’s best and brightest to the world.”
