Nova 93.7 goes back to #1 in Radio Survey 7/2018

GfK_Perth_Survey_7_2018_SHARE.jpgNova 93.7 has gone back to the top of Perth radio in the seventh GfK Metro Radio Survey for 2018, released today.

Nova took top spot with a P10+ share of 14.4% to reclaim the top spot after being pipped by mix94.5 in Survey 6.

Mix94.5 is hot on their hot on their heels, with a 13.9% P10+ Share, a slight drop of 0.2% from S6.

It’s been a tight battle for bragging rights between the two stations this year. Mix94.5 was #1 in Surveys 1, 2, 3 and 6 while nova 93.7 has been #1 in Surveys 4, 5 and now 7. It’s all to play for in Survey 8 – the final survey of the year – which will be released on December 18.

hit92.9 is a clear #3 on 10.4% and was the only other station with a P10+ Share in double-figures at 10.8%.

6PR overtook 96FM for the #4 spot with 7.8%, just ahead fo 96’s 7.6%. 

6IX recorded the biggest P10+ gain of +1.0 to 5.8%. (The station also recorded the biggest single demo gain of +5.3% to 13.9%  and the #2 position in P55-64.)

Nova 93.7 extended its lead in Breakfast, with Nathan, Nat & Shaun recording a Share of 15.1%, while mix94.5’s Clairsy, Matt & Kymba slipped -1.3% to 12.6%.

6PR’s Steve Mills and Basil Zempilas, took back the #3 position, gaining 0.9% to a 11.0% share.

Hit92.9’s Heidi, Xavier & Ryan dropped -1.1% to 10.2% and the #4 position.

They were the only commercial station Breakfasts with double-figure shares.

96FM’s Paul & Lise recorded 6.6%.

Once again 6IX recorded the biggest gain, with Tim Gossage up 1.1 to 4.8%.

Nathan, Nat & Shaun recorded the biggest Cumulative Audience (361,000) followed by Heidi, Xavier & Ryan (290,000) and Clairsy, Matt & Kymba (268,000).

Nova recorded the biggest P10+ Cumulative Audience with 615,000 listeners, while hit92.9 recorded the second-biggest with 530,000 followed by mix94.5 with 516,000.

The tight contest between nova 93.7 and mix 94.5 was reflected in the Average Audience figures, withe nova recording 33,000 and mix recording 32,000.

Amongst commercial DAB+ digital stations, Southern Cross Austereo’s Buddha Hits led the way with a Cumulative Audience of 41,000, followed by Nova Entertainment’s SmoothFM with  of 35,000.
