Tight competition but WoFo is the man in Luxe Bar ‘Groupie’ Agency DJ Challenge

DJ_8.jpgTechnical difficulties for DJ Elasto made last night’s Luxe Bar ‘Groupie’ Agency DJ Challenge a race in four – Reverend Ray P (Warrick Sears) from The Brand Agency; Bilbo Baggins (Lynton Beaumont-Bilsby) from Gatecrasher; Wax On Fuck Off (Josh Edge) from Longtail; and Funkybro (Mike Naylor) from 303.

Luxe Bar’s Michelle Mok said it was very close between WoFo and Reverend Ray.

“In the end, Josh had the crowd jumping and his music was very HIM and really captured the spirit of the night. He mashed music with reckless abandon but sounded seamless and brought the room to a fever pitch. The crowd knew just who DJ Wax On Fuck Off was by his music selection and he left them begging for more. And that to me is the criteria for the best DJ on the night.”

Edge will be returning to play the finals on Wednesday, November 23rd, kicking off at 8pm at Luxe Bar.

Mok said besides the overall win, the stand-out talents of each DJ were acknowledged. Best Scratcher went to DJ Bilbo Baggins. Best Beat Mixer went to DJ Mike Naylor. And Best Music to Showcase the Ad Game went to DJ Reverend Ray P.
