Nine Network to buy Channel 9 Perth from WIN

The Australian Financial Review is reporting that Nine Network CEO David Gyngell has decided to exercise the group’s option to acquire WIN Corporation’s Perth free-to-air TV operations – Channel 9.

Nine paid $A140m for WIN’s Adelaide station in June 2013 and is expected to pay between $A180m and $A200m for the Perth station. The deal will mean that Nine will control commercial stations in all Australian mainland capital cities.
