Nine Entertainment Co outlines plans for 2016

NINE_2016_UPFRONTS_BLOG_31.JPGNine Entertainment Co’s very polished national Chief Revenue Officer, Peter Wiltshire (pictured left), led the presentation of the network’s 2016 Up Fronts at Fraser’s yesterday.

Wiltshire and his colleagues, including WA Sales Director Director Kate McMahon (below left), delivered NEC’s take on a now familiar strategy for TV based networks of ‘anywhere, anytime’ in response to audiences’ shifting patterns of content consumption. Another now familiar theme was the importance of data for a variety of sources including third party providers in identifying audience behaviours.

NEC has undergone a change of leadership both nationally and locally recently, with Hugh Marks replacing David Gyngell as CEO and Ray Wardrop replacing David Mott as Nine Perth MD.

New programs on NEC’s presentation reel for 2016 that resonated with the audience included House of Bond, about the rise and fall of the WA America’s Cup-winning entrepreneur, and comedy Here Come The Habibs! about a Lebanese migrant family who strike it rich with a lottery win and move to Australia’s most exclusive postcode.
