National award for Perth exhibition company

Local exhibition company Perth Expo was named Best Supplier Team for an Event at the recent Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA)’s prestigious Awards for Excellence.

Perth Expo won for its work on the 18th International Conference and Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG18).

Perth Expo was the lead supplier for the LNG18, one of the largest events held in Perth attracting the biggest players in the LNG sector from around the world.

EEAA Chief Executive, Joyce DiMascio, congratulated the Perth Expo team.

“What a mighty achievement for Perth to host this event and what a mighty achievement for Perth Expo to take out this award.”

“We’re absolutely thrilled to win this award,” said Perth Expo’s Richard Pyett. “Going up against some of the biggest and best exhibitions in Australia and New Zealand, it’s great recognition of our ability to produce large-scale events to an international standard.”

Entries were assessed by 32 independent judges from across Australia and overseas. Submissions covered over 20 industry categories from pop culture, energy and resources, IT and health.

2016 Chair of Judges, John Trevillian, said there was an almost 20% increase in award entries which meant competition in some categories was very tough.

“The increase in awards this year is a testament to the regard with which these awards are held.”
