Movers: Parker, De Souza, Robinson, Stelmach…

Peta Parker (far left), previously an Account Director at Meerkats has joined JWT Perth. While at Meerkats, Parker headed up Lotterywest as well as working on Murdoch University, Mrs Mac’s, iinet and Brownes Dairy. Prior to joining Meerkats, Parker spent 5 years on the other side of the fence, at P&N Bank.

Current strategic account manager for The Sunday Times and PerthNow Shaun De Souza (centre left) has been promoted internally to key account manager – national. Current sales executive from Bauer Media Bronwyn Robinson (centre right) has been appointed to account manager – national for The Sunday Times and PerthNow Together they will be representing News Corp Australia’s national portfolio of brands in the local WA market.

The appointments of De Souza and Robinson follow the July launch of the new WA sales model for News Corp that gives West Australian advertisers full access to all of News’ suite of multi-platform brands including  The Australian, The Daily Telegraph, Herald Sun, Vogue, Inside Out and The Advertiser through a single, newly-created sales team. In addition, the team now manages the execution of national campaigns in the local market. They will report through to News Corp WA group agency sales manager Rebecca Lassen.

 

Of the new appointments Sales Director of The Sunday Times and PerthNow Michael Riach said: “I’m pleased to be announcing Shaun’s promotion and welcoming Bronwyn into the team. Shaun has extensive local industry experience and has proven capabilities to build and maintain key advertiser relationships that deliver results; while Bronwyn brings with her a wealth of experience in cross-platform sales which is essential to success in today’s market.”

The new team will be effective in their roles and in-market from Tuesday, 1 October.

96fm/6PR’s Marianne Stelmach (far right) has succeeded Adam Marshall as Chair of the Oasis Committee. The Oasis Project is the WA advertising & media industry’s major charity initiative. Stelmach has been a committee member for 8 years, responsible for event management of the annual ball. The first Oasis Ball was held in 1996 and since then nearly $2m has been raised for the Salvation Army’s Crossroads West program. The 2014 Oasis Ball will be held on Friday, March 7. Meerkats’ Georgie Frampton has also joined the Committee organising the 2014 event, representing Youngbloods.
